Pre-K students and a grown up will create dynamic art based on the week’s theme. Play-based projects and sensory activities will include multiple steps and focus on experimentation as well as language and fine motor development. This class is in-person and takes place at Artsmiths of Pittsburgh 329 E. Main Street, Carnegie, PA.

Join us in the Ailsa Mellon Bruce Decorative Arts and Design galleries for an in-person story time with curatorial assistant Alyssa Velazquez reading A Boy Named Isamu: A Story of Isamu Noguchi by James Yang followed by an art-making activity for children 12 and under.

Making with Artsmiths:Fall Feasts

Join Jena Scheib of the Artsmiths of Pittsburgh for a closer look at the food that we gather to enjoy together this month. We’ll build, stamp, and create unique art recipes inspired by fall feasts. This program is funded by a Gismondi VITAL grant.This class is intended for one adult with one child. Masks are optional if you are fully vaccinated. Registration is required! Architecture: STEAM with Miss Jena

Design and construct towers, castles or modern structures that will enliven their environments. Create with your client in mind and engineer strong buildings that will hold up to hurricanes and tornados.This program is in-person and takes place at Mt. Lebanon Public Library. Experimental Watercolor
@ Artsmiths of Pittsburgh

2 Wednesdays, November 9 & 16 1 | 6pm – 8pm

Discover the amazing properties of watercolor paint through experimentation. Use additives and vary application to create interesting effects like resists, blooms and crystallization. Utilize collaboration and art games to minimize artist block and explore techniques that enhance realistic interpretations and abstractions. This class is in-person and takes place at Artsmiths of Pittsburgh 329 E. Main Street, Carnegie, PA.

Resident artist Jena Schieb will teach beginning new techniques in watercolor in this two-part program on December 9 and 16. Please plan to attend both programs.  All supplies will be provided. $5 suggested donation. Registration required. Register on December 9th calendar entry. Adults only.
